If you are like me your iPhone is like the CENTER of your world.
It is all knowing as it houses your music, radio, movies, contacts, internet, emails.
.
. just about everything that enables me to be a functioning member of society. When I'm not browsing the web, searching for data, answering emails or talking on the phone I am usually listing to online radio or I have my tunes playing via the iPod.
It seems like I put my iPhone to work every second of every day and night - until I get to bed at which point the iPhone gets a well deserved rest.
With all this use the battery power and life become a daily concern so: What can be done to increase it? Well, there are several settings changes or adjustments you can make which are all great and I'll list them bellow but if you're not willing to compromise you iPhone's functionality or get into having to constantly change your phone's settings - get an external battery case or external battery.
I always carry an External Battery with me.
For those of you who do not know, it is a small gadget that attaches to your iPhone through the Apple proprietary port and will not only charge your battery in times of need but can also be used while your device is in use.
The only trick is to make sure the external battery is fully charged so when you do need it, it's ready for you.
As far as space, it is the most convenient option.
The next best option for me, and one I use for air travel and long road trips, is an External Battery Case. This is basically the same idea but also acts as a case for your iPhone.
Be warned, they tend to be a little on the large side.
The good thing is, though, most of these cases have an on/off switch meaning you can control when your iPhone's battery receives it's much needed juice.
My final and last resort scenario is plugging in.
Just like the External Battery, I always have either a wall or a car plug for my iPhone close by.
When writing this article I counted them and found that I currently own 5 wall plugs and 3 car chargers - the wall plugs I can understand (home / office / computer pack), but I only own 1 car.
This may seem a little ridiculous but let's see how do you feel when your phone tells you there's only 20% battery life left?
Lastly, there are a couple of internal settings that can be adjusted on your iPhone to extend your Battery life. All of these are located in your device in the setting icon so go ahead and personalize your iPhone. Here's what you can do:
Check you phone's brightness setting located in: SETTINGS > BRIGHTNESS.
You have the option of turning it on/off or use the dimmer to control brightness...obviously the brighter you have this set, the more battery power you will use.
RECOMMENDED
Fetch your email less often. For me this is not an option - I need to know when I receive messages.
.
. however, this can be found in: SETTINGS > MAIL, CONTACTS, CALENDAR > FETCH NEW DATA.
Once again you can either turn this off or select your time preference.
Turn off your location services. Why this is attached to so many things is beyond me.
This can be found in: SETTINGS > GENERAL >LOCATION SERVICES then choose which ones you want to turn off.
RECOMMENDED
Turn off the Wi-Fi. This one's up to you.
.
.
I really have no opinion here.
.
. it can be done here: SETTINGS > WIFI
Turn off Bluetooth.
This actually uses more battery strength than you would expect.
It can be done here: SETTINGS > GENERAL > BLUETOOTH RECOMMENDED
Turn off 3G - I do not want to even dignify this option but here's where it can be done:
SETTINGS >GENERAL >NETWORK.
Adjust you Auto-Lock.
This is basically like you "Go To Sleep" mode for your iPhone.
It can be found here: SETTINGS > GENERAL > AUTO-LOCK
Turn off the equalizer- here's how: SETTINGS > IPOD > EQ RECOMMENDED
THE BOTTOM LINE:
To increase the functionality of your battery always try to fully charge your device and allow to fully discharge before plugging in again. In a perfect world this would suffice.
Your iPhone's setting can always be adjusted, turned on and off so play around with that - everyone's usage is different. My recommendation: get an External Battery charger and a few car and wall chargers - shop online and look for chargers that have more than 800mAh.

Things to Consider When Choosing Children's Bedding
It is important to choose carefully when purchasing children's bedding.
Many parents do not think of all the factors to be considered when buying bedding for the children.
Most often the way parents handle it is they head straight to the least expensive choices or with what ever looks the coolest but it really is better to put some thought into it. If you really want to get the best in bedding then you should take in to account a few ideas so that you can get the most out of your purchase.
You can really get more out of the bedding if you go with a theme for the child's room.
Once you get a theme chosen you can mix and match the bedding with different colors that will go with the theme. This is a good way to get your child involved in decorating his or her room which will make them love it all the more.
You will have much less hassle in the long run by letting them help with some of the choices.
It is the child's room after all and he or she will be spending the most time in it.
You should also take into consideration the age of your child.
You do not want to decorate the room too young for them or too old as they will not be comfortable in it.
If they are getting in between phases of liking such things as super hero's verses teen idols then you will want to go with something neutral so it will work no matter what age your child is.
Gender is also a factor to consider as boys will want more bold colors where girls will like pastels. Most of the bedding companies are trying to go with patters or styles that are gender neutral so you will see that there is more of a variety if you shop around a bit.
As far as designs are concerned, there are plenty of deigns to choose from. You can go with plain colors, patterns, comic book heroes, cartoon characters and even teen idols or favorite movie characters.
The choices are endless.
You can also look into different types of thread count with cotton sheets to make them softer for your child.
Some parents like to go with the flannel bedding for children as this makes the bed seems softer and give a better nights sleep for some children. All of these factors considered, there is a wide price range to choose from in all types of bedding.
Going with more expensive doesn't always mean that you will get the best children's bedding.
You need to look at the quality as well as the other factors mentioned above. You want to be sure to get something that your child will love and be comfortable with.
You should also consider if you have a little one that is still in the bed wetting stage.
You can go with water proof under sheets to help keep the bed protected. All- in-all, the main thing is to go with something that will be comfortable and durable so it will last you for a long time to come.

IT Technician Job Description
An IT Technician Job Description will vary slightly from company to company depending on the size of the organization but the basics will remain the same.
An IT technician is responsible for installing and monitoring software on company computers, diagnosing and repairing faults, helping users who may be experiencing problems and helps to administer the network used by the company.
An IT technician will provide service to users of the network via email, telephone or on a face to face basis; good customer relations skills are important. The image of the uncommunicative computer geek is way off the mark, customer relations is a big part of the job.
An IT Technician Job Description will also include troubleshooting problems on user computers, uninstalling software, password recovery, repairing computers and assembling and installing new machines.
The job of an IT technician is varied and there is always work to do, depending on how modern the network is and the computers will determine where most of the IT technician's time is spent.
Job Opportunities Today IT Technicians can be found in all size of companies.
Every organization that uses computers, and that is everyone today will need the support of an IT technician. Small companies may call in outside help when they get into trouble but medium and large sized companies will usually have their own IT staff to deal with their day to day computer problems.
To start a career as an IT technician you will need some qualifications in IT. To begin with these can vary but a technical qualification that proves you understand and can repair and maintain computers will get you in at the entry level.
More specific qualifications can usually be obtained from within the company which usually trains IT's staff for the equipment they use.
The big companies may want a degree in computing before they will consider employing an IT technician but this is not necessary for most companies.
Training is usually on going.
Obviously a good knowledge of computers is necessary to begin with, but specific job training usually takes place within the company. This makes sense because each company has it's own unique network running software usually company specific. What companies want to see is evidence of technical computer skills, being able to strip and rebuild your own PC is not good enough, you need evidence that you have followed a proven study course. As the world becomes more reliant on computers the IT Technician's Job Description may change but the basics will always remain and the need for them will continue to grow.

What to Look For When Renting an Instrument For School
Playing a musical instrument is a big commitment. It requires both time and money.
Leasing an instrument is much less costly up front than purchasing one.
It also provides time to try out the instrument before making such a big purchase.
Overall, renting an instrument is a great idea for beginners. Most people start a new instrument while they are young.
Many school districts today have music programs, which include bands and orchestras.
The children are allowed to choose an instrument to play and are instructed during the school day in its use.
To participate in many cases, the student is required to provide the instrument. This is when renting is a good option.
You can make sure the child likes playing it before making a bigger commitment.
When looking for retailers to rent an instrument from there are several key things to look for.
First, find out what is included in the rental.
Does the instrument come with a case? Do you need to purchase anything additional to play it such as a mouthpiece or reed? Is the instrument insured? Then find out what happens if a part breaks. Do they provide repairs? Are the repairs done on the premises? What are the vendor's hours? What is the length of an average repair? Also find out when the instrument has to be returned and are there any late or damage fees.
Finally, ask what would happen if the student wants to change instruments or stop playing this instrument before the lease terms run out.
A reputable store will include a case to store the instrument and tell you up front what is required in addition to play the instrument. They insure the instrument and will provide repairs if there are problems.
It is a good idea to ask around about reputable stores and to check the school's recommended list of vendors before renting.
Ask about all fees up front and make sure they are in writing.
You should also read the fine print on the rental agreement so you are not surprised by any unexpected fees. In addition, a reputable vendor will take the time to explain how to hold and properly care for the instrument.
Learning to play a musical instrument is a rewarding experience. Renting your first instrument will make sure it isn't a costly one.
By taking a few steps such as shopping around, asking questions and getting everything in writing, you will ensure a worry free transaction.
In short, renting an instrument is a great way to start playing a musical instrument.
